BSC (Hons), MBBS & FRACGP

Kind, compassionate and attentive, Dr Clare Lax has a focus on complete wellness and care for families and individuals of all ages, and through all stages of life. Dr Clare grew up in regional Victoria and studied at Melbourne University, before obtaining her medical degree at Flinders University. She studied and worked in the Northern Territory for five years, including three years as a junior doctor at Royal Darwin Hospital, before returning to Melbourne in 2012. She completed several placements at Southern Health, before entering GP training and achieving RACGP fellowship in 2016. Since then, she has been a GP in the city’s South-East, and outer suburban North.

Dr Clare likes to focus on holistic, up to date and evidence-based care for every person, from every walk of life, in their unique situation. She believes that there is always a way forward, whatever your challenges may be, and strives for this.

Dr Clare became a mother in 2020 and that is what she now loves doing in her spare time – as well as getting outdoors, cooking and eating and working up the courage to jump into the chilly waters of Port Phillip Bay every now and then!

Dr Clare will be available to provide care to patients at Port Melbourne Medical on:
