24 AUGUST 2021

We are excited to announce that on FRIDAY AFTERNOON at approximately 5pm we will be opening up further Pfizer vaccine appointments for ELIGIBLE PEOPLE (age 16-59 year olds, and certain at risk 12-15 year olds).

We have secured a significant increase in our weekly allocation that will allow us to essentially double our Pfizer delivery. We run by APPOINTMENTS ONLY. This is not a walk-in service.

We expect this ongoing increased availability will help meet the huge demand, so if you miss an appointment rest assured that more are coming.

Online Bookings Only

DO NOT ring Port Melbourne Medical seeking an appointment as these need to be made ONLINE on a first-come first-served basis. The increased allocation is ongoing so more appointments will open each week. We do not hold back any appointments. The only available appointments are what is visible on Hotdoc.

NO Interchangeable Vaccines

We are NOT affiliated with the Victorian Government state vaccine hubs at all. If you have booked an AstraZeneca vaccine at Port Melbourne Vaccination Clinic, your appointment will be for an AstraZeneca vaccine. These are not freely interchangeable through GP/Federal vaccination clinics. We run dedicated AZ days and Pfizer days, and can only offer the vaccine available on that day.

Contrary to some public announcements, WE ARE NOT INTERCHANGING VACCINES, so currently you will be required to have the same second vaccine as your first dose. Your photo identification and immunisation history is checked on arrival and before receiving the vaccine.

No Medicare Card? No Problem

For those who don’t have a Medicare card, you can still receive your vaccine at the Port Melbourne Vaccination Clinic.

When completing your COVID-19 Consent Form, please complete it as follows:

Medicare Care number: 1111111111
Position on card: 1
Expiry Date 12/2021

You will then be able to submit your form.

At your appointment

At your appointment, you will be required to scan TWO QR codes. The first is to check in to the football club, via the Services Victoria App.

The second is as part of your registration. When you complete it, you will be issued with your individual QR code, which allows us to upload your vaccine to the Australian Immunisation Register. DO NOT PRESS THE FINISH BUTTON. If you do, you will need to complete the registration again. Take a screen shot of your individual QR code to allow our nurses to complete your upload.

Please bring your photo ID, wear a mask and keep it properly fitted over your nose and wear a T-shirt.

We look forward to seeing you for your vaccine!

Please look after your fellow citizens, and if you book an earlier appointment, ensure you cancel your later appointment so no one misses out and no vaccines are wasted.
