Dr Veng Hieu
MD, BSc, FRACGP
Dr Veng Hieu is a compassionate and approachable Specialist General Practitioner with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience (BSc) from The University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and has a strong focus on managing chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, asthma, and mental health concerns.
Dr Veng is also dedicated to ensuring his patients are up to date with their preventive care, including cervical, bowel, prostate and breast screening, cardiovascular risk assessment and optimisation, and weight management. His experience working in rural areas has given him the expertise to handle a wide variety of medical presentations. He is committed to providing personalized and respectful care, ensuring that every patient feels heard and supported.
In addition, Dr Veng provides comprehensive care for men’s health, including prostate and sexual health concerns, and offers comprehensive travel medicine consultations.
To accommodate busy professionals, Dr Veng consults permanently on weekends and public holidays, offering convenient access to healthcare outside of standard office hours. Please note that he does not provide wound care, suturing, plastering, immunisations, WorkCover or TAC-related services.
Dr Veng will be available to provide care to patients at Port Melbourne Medical on:
Saturday 8:30am-1:30pm
Sunday 9am-1pm
Occasional public holidays
