Dr. Raymond Chan

  • MBBS
  • FRACGP

Raymond completed his medical undergraduate training in Adelaide. He then went on and worked in different medical specialties in different states including Queensland, Canberra and his last stop was in New South Wales.  Raymond has worked in both metropolitan and rural areas.

Raymond has previously spent sometime in emergency medicine and that is when he found the beauty of general practice which is all about continuity of care.  He also completed his master degree in medicine at The University of Sydney in the last few years.

Raymond is interested in all fields of medicine.

He enjoys spending time with his young family. He also enjoys going to the gym, travelling around the world and learning about different cultures. He has just become a beginner in snorkelling.

Dr. Sumudu Cooray

  • MBBS (Hons), FRACGP

Sumudu grew up in the South East suburbs of Melbourne and graduated from Monash University in 2008. She completed her internship and residency at Monash Health including completion of a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology – which allows her to offer her patients shared maternity care.

Following a year of travel and working around Australia, Sumudu realised her passion was in general practice and has loved every day since. She has a keen interest in Women’s and Sexual Health and is trained in inserting Implanon and Intrauterine devices (Mirena & Copper IUDs) through her qualification in Sexual and Reproductive Health. Sumudu also enjoys paediatrics  and has completed a Diploma of Child Health. However, it is the variety and holistic aspects of general practice including chronic disease and preventative medicine that Sumudu truly relishes.

Sumudu also teaches students at Monash University and in her free time enjoys running around after her son (and husband!), travel, indulging in good food and watching the mighty Hawthorn Hawks!

Dr Sumudu is currently on maternity leave.

Dr. Ian Devlin

Ian is an experienced GP who spend the first 15 years of his career practicing in Kyneton in central Victoria, and relocated to Melbourne in 2000.

Ian has a special interest in skin cancer diagnosis and management. He has undertaken postgraduate courses and has certificates in skin cancer medicine, primary care skin cancer surgery and dermal imaging (photography). He  has completed a Diploma of Australian Dermatoscopy and an Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, allowing greater accuracy in diagnosis of skin cancer.

Detailed skin assessments are performed, and in some cases biopsy or photographic follow up of suspicious skin spots will be performed at the clinic.

He also has experience in the broad range of General Practice, men’s health and travel medicine.

Dr Amanda Fairweather

  • MBBS
  • FRACGP

Amanda completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle in 2013, her residency in the Northern Beaches of Sydney and her GP Fellowship in the western suburbs of Melbourne.

Amanda enjoys all aspects of General Practice, but has a special interest in mental health, women’s health and paediatrics.

Amanda is certified in the insertion and removal of Implanon, and is comfortable removing minor skin lesions.

In her spare time, Amanda enjoys travel, reading and exploring the cosmopolitan lifestyle Melbourne has to offer.

Dr Priya Kondanapanny

Priya attained her fellowship in February 2017 and enjoys all aspects of general practice.  Her areas of interest are women’s health, dermatology, chronic disease management and mental health.  Priya has volunteered with Amnesty International and participated in the breast cancer triathlon in 2009.   She continues to do volunteer work in rural and remote communities in both Australia and overseas.  Her other interests are cooking, tennis, travelling and F1 racing.

Dr. Claire Langford

Claire is a caring and friendly GP who enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds. Claire obtained her medical degree from The University of Adelaide in 2009, and completed her residency and GP fellowship in Victoria. Claire grew up in Bayside Melbourne, and worked with Alfred Health for several years, at The Alfred, Caulfield, and Sandringham Hospitals.

During this time Claire completed additional training in paediatrics through a Diploma of Child Health, and women’s health through a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Claire offers shared-care Obstetrics with the Royal Women’s Hospital, allowing women with low-risk pregnancies to see both her and hospital doctors during their pregnancy.

Claire spent much of her medical training working in rural communities, most recently in Gippsland, where she not only enjoyed the rolling hills and gorgeous beaches, but also being part of close-knit communities. She loves getting to know her patients well – working with them through the ups and downs of all life stages – preventative care, chronic disease management, geriatrics, mental health, and minor procedures.

Having had her first child in mid-2017, Claire now feels much more ‘qualified’ in all things pregnancy and babies – experience seeming better than any formal qualification!

Claire loves consulting from Port Melbourne Medical, and looks forward to working with you.

 

Dr Claire will be going on maternity leave from late-May 2019 until early 2020.

Dr. Sarah Lewis

Sarah is experienced in general practice, and attained her fellowship in 2010.

She has a special interest in women’s health (including women’s health checks, implanon insertion and removal, pap smears and family planning advice), paediatrics, sexual health, mental health and chronic disease management including chronic disease prevention. Sarah provides Shared Maternity care with the Royal Women’s Hospital.

As a mother of two, Sarah also enjoys paediatrics and achieved her Diploma of Child Health during her General Practice training. She is comfortable dealing with a wide range of infant and childhood illnesses and behavioural issues, and understands the rewards and challenges of parenting.
Sarah is passionate about providing thorough medical treatment and ensuring her knowledge is up to date and treatments are in line with the latest best practice guidelines.

Dr Denise Lin

Dr Denise hails from the sunny shores of Perth but has lived in Melbourne since 2006. She graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2005 and spent several years working at Monash and Alfred hospitals before commencing in general practice in 2014.

She is passionate about a proactive approach to health, with health promotion and disease prevention as a focus. She also completed a Master of Public Health in 2014 from the University of Melbourne to further her knowledge in the area.

She has 2 young children and is very comfortable treating women and children. She is also skilled in Implanon insertion and removal.

In her spare time, she likes to practice yoga and spend time outdoors with her family and dogs.

Dr. Justin Osborne

Justin is originally from the Hunter Valley in NSW and graduated in 2003. Having spent time training in a few areas of specialty, he decided on a career in general practice as he values building relationships with people. Justin believes strongly in providing the breadth, depth and longevity of medical care that only General Practice allows. He welcomes people from all cultures and communities and works with people to empower them in taking charge of their own health.

Justin’s clinical interests include men’s health; palliative care; minor surgical procedures; mental health; sexual health including HIV medicines, PrEP and PEP; travel medicine and preventive medicine. He also provides aesthetic medicine anti-wrinkle and dermal filler injections.

Dr Justin Osborne is currently not taking on new patients.

Dr Nicholas Rhodes

  • MBChB, FRACGP, MRCGP

Nick is a UK trained GP who enjoys all aspects of general practice with particular interests in Sexual Health (including HIV and PrEP prescribing), Mens Health, Paediatrics, and Minor Injuries; he also inserts and removes Implanon and manages unanticipated pregnancies.

With a focus on medical education Nick regularly teaches Melbourne University medical students and is on the board of examiners for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Nick trained in Manchester in the North of England and after completing training, worked as a cruise ship doctor before immigrating to Australia to live and work 2 years ago.

In his spare time Nick enjoys keeping fit with F45, he also loves to cook, travel and spend time with his Fiancé and puppy Benji.

Dr. Van Vu

Van obtained her medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2003 and completed her Fellowship in General Practice in 2010.

She is a considerate and compassionate GP who is motivated to provide all aspects of care for patients from all walks of life. She is widely experienced, having provided medical care in a multitude of locations from Kenya to the UK to Coolaroo. Having completed a Diploma in Child Health, she enjoys and is comfortable in managing children and adolescents of all ages. She also has special interests in women’s health, sexual health, and chronic disease management.

Van also has a better than basic knowledge of the Vietnamese language and is keen to utilise this skill to provide best possible care to a diverse population.

Motherhood occupies much of her time, so she is currently limited to part time General Practice.

Dr Astrid Zussino

Astrid is a caring and friendly doctor who enjoys all aspects of General Practice.

Astrid is originally from Central Queensland and undertook her medical degree at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. Following graduation she completed her first two years of residency at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Royal Childrens Hospital before relocating to the Sunshine Coast. Here she gained a further six months experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nambour Hospital before completing her General Practice training in Maroochydore and Caloundra.  Astrid has since worked in variety of rural and remote locations in both small hospital and general practice settings and with refugee populations.

Astrid relocated to Melbourne 12 months ago and spends her spare time exploring the wide array of amazing restaurants and attempting to learn to surf when the weather is accommodating.
