Dr Jeet Garud
Dr Jeet has completed his vocational training in General Practice in the United Kingdom, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Jeet has a special interest in the prevention and treatment of skin cancer. He has completed his Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer(MMed) with the University of Queensland. This is a Post-Graduate degree providing comprehensive training to effectively diagnose and manage skin cancers. As a part of the training the doctors are assessed on their knowledge, competence to diagnose skin cancers, use of evidence based medicine, assessment of surgical skills through case presentations and preparing a surgical audit of cases from their own clinical practice. He also holds a Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine, a Diploma in Skin Cancer Surgery, a Diploma in Dermoscopy and is a member of the International Dermoscopy Society.
Dr Jeet has interests in many other aspects of medicine which include:
Men’s health, travel medicine, sexual and reproductive health, chronic disease management and minor surgical procedures including skin cancer excisions and Implanon insertion/removal.
Dr Jeet is passionate about teaching medical students and is an honorary lecturer at the University of Melbourne and a GP affiliate at Monash University.
When not working, Dr Jeet enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, cooking and travelling.
