Dr. Claire Langford
MBBS, FRACGP, DRANZCOG, DCH, Cert. Sexual & Reproductive Health
Dr Claire is a caring and friendly GP who enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds. Dr Claire obtained her medical degree from The University of Adelaide in 2009, and completed her residency and GP fellowship in Victoria. Dr Claire grew up in Bayside, Melbourne, and worked with Alfred Health for several years, at The Alfred, Caulfield, and Sandringham Hospitals.
During this time Dr Claire completed additional training in paediatrics through a Diploma of Child Health, and women’s health through a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Dr Claire offers shared-care Obstetrics with the Royal Women’s Hospital and Sandringham Hospital, allowing women with low-risk pregnancies to see both her and the hospital team during their pregnancy.
Dr Claire spent much of her medical training working in rural Victoria and South Australia, where she loved being part of close-knit communities. She values getting to know her patients well – working with them through the ups and downs of all life stages – preventative care, chronic disease management, geriatrics, mental health, and minor procedures.
In her spare time Dr Claire has her hands (and heart) full with two young children, and enjoys walking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr Claire loves consulting from Port Melbourne Medical, and looks forward to working with you.
